Morgan
From behind the chair to the salon manager, Morgan is a jack of all trades around the salon ! Along with managing operations, she is a mom to a 12 year old fashionista that often gets to be the guinea pig for Morgan’s hair ideas since no longer working behind the chair. Morgan is passionate about connecting with each and every guest and making them feel cared for. She also loves researching all about what is in professional products and their best uses in order to recommend the perfect take home care for our guests. She recently created our Shear Creations signature scent rollerball perfumes and diffuser blends for retail after many requests to match the scent of our space at home.
Colleen
Colleen started Shear Creations back in 1995 as a one-woman show. She has since grown the business to an 11 employee salon (and it’s still growing!) . With a zest for life and a bubbly personality, catch Colleen dancing outdoors on her morning walks by the ocean, breaking a sweat at the gym or practicing her morning meditation. This spiritual chick values making her clients feel great inside and out above all other aspects of her work. She is the biggest cheerleader for the staff, offering advice, giving confidence boosts and helping to achieve their goals, so it’s no surprise that she does exactly that to the guests in her chair !
Alex
Our “Curly Hair” specialist, Alex is a seasoned hairstylist with over 2 decades of experience in the industry. Her passion for art, beauty and genuine care for individuals has found a perfect outlet as a professional hairstylist. Alex developed a specialty in curly hair over the years having received specific training quite early in her career. She is also a dedicated mother to 2 lovely boys and has 3 sweet dogs, one of whom, Loki, can often be found at the salon, charming clients with his friendly presence.

Sarah
Sarah hails from beautiful Prince Edward island where she attended hair school and spent the first 10 years of her career as a stylist. This fun loving hippy is happiest when out camping, hiking and foraging in nature and made the big move to Vancouver island to soak up the lush and laidback lifestyle of the Westcoast. She is a great friend who makes time for the all of the people in her life. She loves making people look and feel great with big changes to their hair customized to suit exactly who they are.
Blixa
Blixa is a soft spoken old soul. Growing up with mother who worked as a stylist introduced her to creative colouring. She attended the hairdressing program at VIU where she developed a passion for creating visually interesting shapes in hair as well as precision cutting. In her free time she loves getting out into nature, reading and checking out the local metal and punk music scene. She is also a skilled cook and baker, often sharing her delicious dishes with her coworkers. Lucky us !
Rena
Rena is known for her warm and loving personality along with giving the worlds’ best hugs! Not to mention, she has the most enviable style and shoe collection ! Rena has been a hair stylist for 32 years. Many of her guests have been with her right from the very beginning. Early in her career, she worked at a local salon and met Colleen, only to reunite and join the Shear Creations team years later. She is a mom to 2 beautiful daughters. Her favorite part of being a stylist is doing colour services, in all aspects.
Tania
After graduating from the Esthetics and Makeup artistry program at the renowned Blanche Macdonald Center in Vancouver many years ago, Tania discovered a passion for health and wellness. This mom of 2, became a certified reflexologist at the Canadian Reflexology school of Victoria in 2018. With an eye for detail and a lot of elbow grease, she gives the best pedicures around! She will even make you a delicious latte first. Your feet will thank you !
Megan
After stepping away from her practice of over 20 years as a registered massage therapist to focus on family, Megan is ready to embark on a new journey. With a passion for wellness and some new knowledge, she combines massage, cranial sacral therapy, breath work, PEMF (pulsated electromagnetic field therapy) and red light therapy to holistically rejuvenate her guests. In her down time, Megan loves to travel and enjoys an active lifestyle here on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Juliska
Juliska is fun and charismatic and has been bringing that energy to her career as a stylist for the past 37 years. She knew since the age of 9 that being a hairstylist was in her future. It is her goal to make all of her guests’ beauty shine when they leave the salon, knowing that when we look good on the outside, we feel good on the inside! She loves interior decorating, repurposing furniture and creating a calm and comfortable sanctuary in her home to cozy up and enjoy with her three lovely daughters and two cats. Her enviable and bold sense of humour has staff and guests constantly giggling and eager to join in the fun !
